North Carolina Association of County Commissioners

Denise Canada is the Director of Research and Fiscal Policy at the North Carolina Association of County Commissioners, a non-partisan organization that serves as the official voice of all 100 counties on issues considered by the General Assembly, Congress, and federal and state agencies. Denise provides policy guidance and technical assistance on budget and tax issues; she also manages research and data analysis for the Association.
 
Before joining NCACC in 2022, Denise worked for 14 years as nonpartisan central staff to the North Carolina General Assembly. She holds a master’s degree in public policy from the Johns Hopkins University.
