Tia Foula, MPA serves as the Assistant County Manager for Nash County, where she oversees essential services and strategic initiatives that enhance the well-being of residents. One of her key roles is as the Opioid Setlement Manager, directing initiatives funded by the opioid settlement to address substance use challenges in the community. With over 25 years of experience, Tia brings extensive expertise in public service, focusing on effective program implementation and building a resilient, engaged community. A native of Baltimore, Maryland, Tia graduated from the International School of Bangkok, Thailand, and earned her bachelor’s degree in social work from Barton College in Wilson, NC. In 2017, she completed her master’s in public administraton at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. Grounded in social work values, Tia considers herself “a social worker at heart,” championing sustainable programs that meet immediate needs and support long-term community resilience.
