Steven Hayes is not only a North Carolina native, but also was born in Franklin County.  Steven has been a Licensed General Contractor since 1996. Steven has been involved in every level of construction, as he started as a brick mason, which then led to him becoming a subcontractor, where he later made the decision to become a Licensed General Contractor. His attention to detail and fine craftsmanship has set him apart in the construction field in Franklin and Granville County, to where a "Steven Hayes" home is recognizable and sought after. Even with the great success that has come with being a general contractor, his entrepreneurial spirit has led him to be involved in many other great endeavors outside of residential construction. One of those endeavors was him starting his own self-storage facility with Gatekeeper Self Storage. This has led him to be involved in many other self-storage facility partnerships. Steven has also diversified himself by becoming a land developer with various neighborhoods in Franklin & Granville County’s.  With the notoriety that he has accumulated over the years, Steven joined Joe Farrell and has been involved in the revitalization of downtown Franklinton. This revitalization has taken part with partners who have renovated over 40 various buildings (Franko's, The Slammer, The Carolina Manor House, Toro’s, Bleachers Sports Bar, etc.), which has in turn brought much life into the town of Franklinton. Even with all the success that Steven has accumulated over the years, he is constantly searching for the next challenge to tackle.  Steven now has his oldest daughter Jessi and his son Austin in the family businesses.  Jessi and Austin will continue the efforts to build strong relationships in the construction and developing industry.
